Tolerance Break Planner

When the usual dose stops landing, less will do more. Tell the planner how you use edibles and it suggests a break length, marks the date you are back on, and sets a restart dose.

  1. Day 1 to 2

The hardest stretch for daily users: sleep may be lighter and appetite off. It passes.

  2. Day 3 to 7

Receptor availability has already recovered a large share. Cravings fade; dreams often return.

  3. Week 2

Most people feel fully baseline. Lighter users can restart here.

  4. Week 3 and 4

Heavier and longer use benefits from finishing the month. The restart dose will feel like it used to.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a tolerance break be?

Long enough for your cannabinoid receptors to recover, which studies put at roughly two days for a large share and two to four weeks for most of the rest. Occasional users often reset in a week; daily users over years get the most from three to four weeks. The planner scales the suggestion to your pattern.

What happens during a tolerance break?

The first two days are the roughest for daily users, with lighter sleep, vivid dreams and a flatter appetite. By the end of the first week most of that has passed and receptor availability has climbed substantially. By week two most people feel back to baseline.

What dose should I restart at after a break?

A fraction of the old one. The planner suggests roughly a third to a half of your usual dose, never under 2.5 mg, because the break has done its job and the old dose will now hit much harder. Have one serving, wait two hours, then decide.

Do I need a full break or can I just cut down?

Cutting down works more slowly but it works. A full break gives the clearest reset in the shortest time; halving your dose for a few weeks gets much of the way there without stopping. Either way, the restart dose is the part people skip and regret.
