Potency is an estimate from the label and typical home efficiencies, not a lab value. Prices are yours; the math is ours. Not dosing advice.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a homemade edible cost per milligram of THC?

Take what you paid for the flower plus the other ingredients, and divide by the milligrams of THC that actually end up in the food after decarb and infusion losses. For a typical batch of 7 grams at 20 percent THC bought for about 45 dollars, that lands in the range of 8 to 12 cents per milligram, or two to three dollars for a 25 mg serving.

Why does the calculator discount the label potency?

The percentage on the label is THCA in raw flower. Heating converts most, not all, of it to THC, and only part of that THC transfers into butter or oil. Home kitchens typically keep 60 to 80 percent through decarb and 50 to 70 percent through infusion. The sliders let you use your own numbers.

Is it cheaper to make edibles than to buy them?

Usually, per milligram, especially once the whole ingredient cost is spread over a large batch. The trade is precision: a store-bought edible has a lab-tested dose, a homemade one has an estimate, which is why the first serving of any new batch should be small.

Does stronger flower make edibles cheaper?

Often. Price per gram tends to rise more slowly than THC percentage, so higher-potency flower delivers more milligrams per dollar. Run the same batch at two potencies to compare.
