Every dosing guide ends the same way: label it. Fill in the batch and print a clean label with the dose per piece, the date, storage, and the warnings, then tape it to the container.

Frequently asked questions

What should a homemade edible label include?

What it is, the date it was made, the milligrams of THC per piece and what counts as a piece, how to store it, and the standard cautions: start low and wait two hours, keep away from children and pets, adults only, do not drive. Anything that looks like a normal food needs this most.

How do I know the milligrams per piece?

Work out the total THC in the batch with the dosage or infusion calculator, then divide by the number of pieces you actually cut. The label maker does the division; you supply honest numbers, and round down rather than up.

Are homemade edibles required to be labelled in Canada?

Not by law for personal use, but every public-health guide recommends it, and it is the only thing standing between a guest and a guess. Licensed products carry a standardized cannabis symbol and per-unit THC; a homemade label should aim for the same clarity.
