mg per Gummy Calculator

Even gummies start with the math. Enter the THC going into the batch and the mould you are filling to see the dose in every gummy, or the infusion you need for the dose you want.

What survives the pan scrape and the dropper. 90 to 95% is typical; whisk the infusion in fully or the first gummies get it all.

Even dosing is a mixing problem, not a math problem: whisk the infusion in until the colour is uniform, and fill every cavity to the same line.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate mg of THC per gummy?

Divide the total milligrams of THC you add to the batch by the number of gummies the batch fills, after allowing for what stays in the pan. A 250 mg tincture across a 50-cavity mould is 5 mg per gummy if it all makes it in, and closer to 4.5 mg with a typical 10 percent left behind.

How much tincture or oil do I need for 5 mg gummies?

Multiply your target dose by the number of cavities, then add a little for pan loss. Fifty gummies at 5 mg is 250 mg, so about 275 mg of infusion covers the usual loss. Enter your own mould and target above and the calculator does it.

Why are some of my gummies stronger than others?

Almost always mixing. Oil and tincture separate from a water-based gummy mix, so the first cavities poured get more of the infusion than the last. Whisk until the mixture is uniform, use lecithin if you are working with oil, and pour quickly and evenly.

Do gummies lose potency when they set or when stored?

Setting does not touch it: the mix never gets hot enough for long enough to matter. Storage does, slowly. Airtight, dark and cool keeps gummies within a few percent of their made potency for weeks, and the fridge extends that to months.
